The highest domestic steel grade and largest diameter spiral welded pipe was successfully tested

After three consecutive days of hard work, on July 26th, Baoji Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. independently developed China's first X100 steel grade, 1422 mm diameter, and 15.3 mm thick spiral submerged arc welded steel pipe, which is controlled by CNPC (Qinhuangdao). Baoshi Shun Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. successfully went offline. This is the highest grade steel spiral welded pipe in China.

X100 steel spiral welded pipe has become a research hotspot of major pipe-making enterprises with higher pressure resistance, greater strength, stronger corrosion resistance and less raw material usage. The success of this trial production signifies that Baoji Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. has made new breakthroughs in the R&D and production technology of higher-grade, long-distance, and large-diameter oil and gas pipelines, providing a strong foundation for future upgrading of oil and gas pipelines in China.
